The University/Downtown Area of the City of Camden is the nerve center for Camden County, as well as being the home of Rutgers-Camden. Many residents, and large and small businesses, call this part of Camden their home. Rutgers-Camden is in perfect position to be a part of this community, and its students are able to access the city’s many resources. The University/Downtown area also features the Camden Waterfront with its incredible marina, the newly remodeled and expanded Adventure Aquarium, and the USS New Jersey (the longest, fastest, and most decorated ship ever in the US Navy). Also within easy access are the Tweeter Center, a concert and performing arts venue, and Campbell’s Field, the home of the Camden Riversharks minor league baseball team.
