The next three webpages will require you to complete information necessary for the Office of Residence Life to assign you a space in on-campus housing. By submitting the information required on this and subsequent pages, you are entering into a contract! Please take your time to read through any and all information pertaining to the contract and to complete the fields completely and accurately. Any errors you make could delay the processing of your contract. You will know that you have completely finished the Summer 2008 Housing Contract when you receive your confirmation page at the end.

This contract may only be completed by the student.

Before you begin to complete the contract you may want to read the following items or have the information handy:

Due to our renovation project that will begin this May, we will not be able to offer PRE-SUMMER housing.  All current students must move-out after their academic contract ends.  The first available move-in day for summer is Monday, May 26th from 9am-4pm.

*As we may experience some inconveniences due to the renovation project, we are deducting 15% from each contract as a courtesy.  In order to have a smooth transition, we are relying on the assistance of our residents to work with us as we complete the renovations.  Work will take place on the entire 6th floor of the apartments and all of the rooms of the South side of the Apartment building.
**In order to qualify for the campus employee discount, the student must complete the information above pertaining to their job. Confirmation will be obtained from the supervisor before a bill is generated. The job must last the full length of the summer contract period. If a student loses the position for any reason, the discount will only apply for the period of time the student held the position, and will be billed normally for the remaining part of the residencey.


Special Housing Concerns/Preferences

The Office of Residence Life provides Equal Opportunity housing. Every effort will be made to accomodate your request, but we cannot guarantee that any request in this section will be accomodated.



Summer Camden Cash

Students are not required to have a meal plan during the summer contract period, but may elect to pre-load Camden Cash onto their account to use for food purchases on campus, in vending machines, or to use at the on-site laundry facilities.

All applicants must read and agree to abide by the Important Information section and Housing Terms and Conditions in order to proceed with the application process.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • A $100 non-refundable application fee is required from all summer residents (check or money order payable to Rutgers University). It will be waived for EOF Students. If you cancel your summer housing contract, you must fill out a termination of contract form with the office. You do not get your $100 deposit back.

  • Students may only remain in the residence halls during the contract period. Students must remove belongings by 5pm on the day their contract ends. Failure to remove belongings will result in additional charges.
  • All summer housing fees must be paid in full by May 21, 2008. If housing fees are not paid in full by this date, the housing deposit is forfeited and the summer housing reservation will be cancelled.
  • Students using funds from Financial Aid to cover summer housing fees must provide a written commitment to the office from Financial Aid.
  • Payment plans are available for summer housing at the discretion of the Assistant Dean of Students. Please send an e-mail to aemery@camden.rutgers.edu to request information.
  • Summer residents will be assigned wherever space permits. Therefore, students will assume all the costs of moving.
  • No student will be allowed to stay past August 14th if they have not been confirmed for a housing space for Fall 2008.
  • Students will receive notification of their summer housing assignment and bill via email after their contract and deposit have been received.
  • All summer residents must abide by the On-Campus Living Guide.
  • All summer residents will pay an additional Residence Community Fee of $55.00 regardless of the summer term selected. This fee is non-refundable.
