Resident Information
Situated at the foot of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, the Rutgers-Camden Campus is located in the transportation hub of southern New Jersey, directly across the Delaware River from Center City Philadelphia.
Convenience
Residence Hall is within a five-minute walk of the entire campus and only four blocks from the Patco Hi-Speed Line, which travels into Center City Philadelphia in just ten minutes. The Camden Waterfront is only two blocks away, housing such attractions as Wiggins Park, the Tweeter Center at the Waterfront, the Adventure Aquarium, the Battleship New Jersey, and the RiverLink Ferry with service between Camden and Philadelphia.
The resident buildings are directly across the street from the Camden Campus Center, which is open seven days a week.
Each resident participates in the Camden Campus Meal Plan, which has been developed to provide residents with a flexible system of purchasing meals at convenient times and locations.
Within the Tower and Apartments, the Residence Life staff provides recreational, social, educational and cultural activities for all Campus residents.
Comfort
The ten-story Tower houses graduate and undergraduate students in 42 furnished suites. Students live in three-bedroom suites, sharing a living room, vanity area and bathroom. Each suite has wall-to-wall carpeting, separate controls for heat and air conditioning, and is pre-wired to receive telephones and cable television. Each bedroom comes with an ethernet/network plug in the wall for fast and easy access to the Rutgers network. Computer labs are located on the third floor, and study lounges are located on all but the first floor. You'll find weight lifting machines on the fourth floor and cardio machines on the sixth floor, as well as a fully-equipped fitness center on the first floor of The Apartments (available to all Towers residents, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week).
Other furnishings include bedroom(s) with a single bed, a five-drawer chest, a desk with lamp and chair for each resident; a living room with a three-seat sofa with two endtables and lamps, a loveseat, two lounge chairs and a coffee table.
Other amenities include a fully-equipped, coin or cash card-operated laundromat with a vending area for convenience foods. Each floor is equipped with a small kitchen for resident use.
Graduate students reside in the Apartments, in individual rooms with a shared living room, kitchen and bathroom.

Security
Every effort has been taken in the planning of on-campus housing to afford you a safe and pleasant stay in Camden.
The single entrance to the housing complex is staffed by a uniformed University Police guard 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The guard is responsible for checking resident ID cards and monitoring all visitors coming into the building.
Each room is equipped with a campus phone that allows direct access with the guard in the Lobby or to the University Police in the event of an emergency.
The adjacent parking area is monitored by closed-circuit television by University Police.
