Local Information and Resources:
The University/Downtown Area of the City of Camden is the nerve center for Camden County, as well as being the home of Rutgers-Camden. Many residents, and large and small businesses, call this part of Camden their home. Rutgers-Camden is in perfect position to be a part of this community, and its students are able to access the city’s many resources. The University/Downtown area also features the Camden Waterfront with its incredible marina, the newly remodeled and expanded Adventure Aquarium, and the USS New Jersey (the longest, fastest, and most decorated ship ever in the US Navy). Also within easy access are the Tweeter Center, a concert and performing arts venue, and Campbell’s Field, the home of the Camden Riversharks minor league baseball team. Food Establishments Rutgers-Camden's Dining Services offers a wide range of on-campus dining choices, all of which can be used with your meal plan or RU Express. Additionally, the local area surrounding the University features many establishments that are within walking distance of campus. Entertainment Rutgers-Camden offers students many entertainment options, including events hosted by the Office of Campus Involvement, performances and exhibits at the Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts and Stedman Gallery, and sports and recreation through Athletics and Recreational Services.
