Room Selection Preference

For 2008/2009, room selection preferences will be indicated using the categories and information in this section. This replaces the system used in previous years where students came in person to select room preferences.

The information and selections below may not apply to every student. Please read the information for your academic group, law/graduate or undergraduate, and respond if the section applies to you. Many students will not need to respond in this section.
There is a location in both the law/graduate and undergraduate section to note your preference for roommates. Please enter the names of your roommates as requested if you wish. If you elect not to indicate roommates, the Residence Life Office will assign you based on your responses to questions in this contract.

Law & Graduate Students:
All law and graduate students will be placed in the "Franklin Wing" of the Apartments (07-11 rooms) with students of similar academic standing. There is no guarantee that all occupants of an apartment will be of the same academic program; however, we will make every effort to accomodate your requests.

* Please indicate which type of apartment you would prefer to reside in:

In the Franklin Wing of the Apartments, we have 3 apartment types. The overwhelming majority of these apartments have four single bedrooms. In addition to those units, we have two 1-bedroom apartments and eight 2-bedroom units available at higher housing rates. The one and two bedroom units go very quickly and most students are placed in a 4-bedroom unit.
If you would like to be considered for a 1-bedroom or 2-bedroom apartment (on a space available, first come-first served basis), please indicate this below.
NOTE: If the preference you select below is not available, you will be considered for the next best preference. If no selection is made, you will be considered for the 4-bedroom apartment only.

Please enter the first and last names of up to 3 students, separated by commas, that you would like to be placed with here:

Undergraduate Students:
Undergraduate students with at least 54 credits by May 15, 2008, (junior standing with the University), no judicial history, and a GPA of 2.0 or greater, will be placed in a 4-bedroom apartment on the "Whitman Wing" of the Apartments (01-06 rooms) on a first come-first served basis. Placement will be done by credit hours; i.e. a student with 119 credits will be placed before a student with less credit hours. Apartments are not guaranteed to undergraduate students.
If your preference is to reside in the Apartments regardless of whether your chosen roommates have the correct amount of credits, clean judicial history, and proper GPA, please indicate this by checking this box:

For undergraduate students with less than 54 credits:
Undergraduate students with less than 54 credits will be assigned to the Tower. Students that submit a housing contract with 5 roomates listed (for a total of 6 students) will be assigned first, then 4, 3, etc. If you do not fill a room for any reason, other students will be placed in your suite.

We currently offer two specialized options for certain student groups, Honors College students and student athletes. It is the student's responsibility to select this living preference at the time of application submission in order to be placed on the appropriate floor. Please select which specialized floor you would like to reside on below.
NOTE: All freshmen are placed with other freshmen. If no selection is made below you will automatically be considered for a regular Tower room assignment.
(open to students accepted into the Honors College ONLY)

Please enter the first and last names of up to 5 students, separated by commas, that you would like to be placed in a room with here:
