Do you turn off the lights every time you leave a room?
Do you sort your recycling after your roommates slip up and accidentally mix in trash?
Do you care about living more sustainably?
Then you sound like a perfect candidate for our new Green Room Certification!
In Spring 2016 the Office of Housing and Residence Life is launching the Green Room Certification program. The program is designed to educate, inform, and recognize behaviors and choices that are sustainable.
Sustainability takes into account not only the environment but also economic prosperity and social justice. Below you will find a short survey that asks a wide variety of questions about options and actions you can perform as a residential student.
After you complete the survey, you results will be tallied and then a certification level will be identified for your room on the following scale:
Certified: 20 -29 Points
Green Room Certified participnts will get a certificate that can be posted to their door to show-off their committment to sustainability.
Silver: 30 -39 Points
Green Room Silver participnts will get a certificate that can be posted to their door to show-off their committment to sustainability, AND a window cling to decorate their space!
Gold: 40+ Points
Green Room Gold participnts will get a certificate that can be posted to their door to show-off their committment to sustainability AND a window cling to decorate their space AND a large plant for their room!! It will help clean your air and keep you relaxed!
